Is the CAIHRP recognized internationally?

Yes. The CAIHRP is a vendor-neutral, role-anchored credential aligned with the leading HR bodies of knowledge (SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, ATD, IHRP) and the leading AI governance frameworks (ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, OECD, EU AI Act). It is approved by the CPD Standard Office, UK, and accepted worldwide.

Do I need prior HR experience to join?

No prior experience is strictly required. Recommended experience varies by qualification: 2 years (Master’s), 3 years (Bachelor’s), 5 years (Associate degree or HR diploma), or 8 years (secondary education). All recommended, not required.

How many CPDs will I earn?

You will receive 32 CPD/PDU hours upon completion of the 4-day CAIHRP course.

Can I take the course without sitting the exam?

Yes. You may attend the CAIHRP course to gain the knowledge and CPD/PDUs without attempting the exam.

What is the format of the CAIHRP exam?

The exam is online proctored and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (single best answer) to be completed in 120 minutes. The pass mark is 70%, anchored via modified-Angoff standard setting.

What happens if I fail the certification exam?

GAICC members are eligible for one free exam retake within 12 months of their initial attempt. If you do not pass the certification exam on your first attempt, you may retake it at no additional cost.

How long is the certification valid?

The certification is valid for 24 months. Renewal requires 16 CPD credits, of which at least 6 must address AI Governance, Ethics or Risk.

Does CAIHRP replace my SHRM, HRCI or CIPD credential?

No — it complements them. The CAIHRP adds the AI-fluency layer that existing HR bodies of knowledge do not yet cover in depth.
